With the entry into force of various EU regulations, new methodologies have been developed that require the introduction of harmonized processes in congestion management. These new processes replace existing national and regionally limited approaches and must be applied in the future on a mandatory basis in every coördinated capacity calculation region (CCR).
The CE Capacity Calculation Region (CE CCR) plays a central role in Europe and introduces significant innovations, including Capacity Calculation (CC), Regional Operational Security Coördination (ROSC) and Cost Sharing. In this training course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the new processes and their impact on congestion management. It is aimed at professionals and decision-makers who wish to understand, support and successfully implement these new processes.

Introduction to the CE Capacity Calculation Region:
- Legal basis: EU regulations and regulatory framework conditions.
- Requirements for the introduction of new processes for congestion management.
- Overview of the participating countries and stakeholders.
New processes and their application:
- Capacity Calculation (CC): Fundamentals of cross-border capacity calculation and its application in the CE CCR.
- Regional Operational Security Coördination (ROSC): The importance of regional security analysis for system security and the replacement of existing processes such as DACF coördination and pRDx.
- Cost Sharing: Principles and mechanisms of cost sharing in the CE CCR.
Replacement of existing processes:
- Comparison of the new CE processes with previous approaches such as DACF coördination.
- Challenges and opportunities in the transition to the new processes.
Introduction and implementation of the new processes:
- Practical steps for implementing the CE processes in operational practice.
- Coöperation between TSOs and other stakeholders during the implementation.

Targets
This training provides participants with a sound understanding of the new processes in the CE Capacity Calculation Region (CE CCR), which play a central role in the future of congestion management in the European electricity market. Participants will become familiar with the legal basis as well as the key processes, such as Capacity Calculation (CC), Regional Operational Security Coördination (ROSC) and Cost Sharing. In addition, the training compares these new processes with existing processes such as DACF coördination in order to highlight the differences and the challenges involved in replacing these established approaches.
The aim is to prepare participants not only to understand the new processes, but also to actively support their introduction and successfully integrate them into operational practice.

Katalin Di Martino
With more than seven years of experience in operational planning at Amprion, Katalin Di Martino is a recognized expert in the fields of capacity calculation, congestion management, and redispatch. Through her close collaboration with grid operations, she has gained extensive knowledge of the control and stabilization of power grids, as well as the coördination of measures to ensure grid stability. In addition, she was involved for more than two years at TenneT in the development of the cost sharing process in the CORE capacity calculation region and has acquired in-depth knowledge of the development and implementation of European processes. She is currently working as a consultant at X‑impuls AG and, thanks to her expertise, plays a key role in the implementation of the CorNet platform as part of the CorNet program. With her experience in project management, as a product owner, and her extensive knowledge of the relevant data structures, she combines technical expertise with strategic implementation skills. Katalin Di Martino conveys the complex requirements of modern processes in a practical and easy-to-understand way.
