"Reliable networks. Strong partnerships."

In addition to ‘traditional’ project consulting,
X‑impuls offers specialised consulting for transmission system operators.

Implementation of regulatory requirements

As part of the energy transition, it is imperative that a large number of regulatory requirements at national and international level are implemented on time. This poses major personnel challenges for many transmission system operators.

Particularly in the European environment, the interests are diverse and it requires in-depth expertise and negotiating skills to be able to enforce one’s own safety principles and principles.

In order to meet the requirements, transmission system operators are increasingly recruiting, but are always lagging behind demand, as these demanding activities in particular require time-consuming familiarisation and sound experience.

In addition to comprehensive consulting, X‑impuls also offers the opportunity to represent transmission system operators in working and specialist groups and thus to compensate for personnel bottlenecks in line with demand.

Process optimisation

The introduction of new processes and the associated workload can lead to existing processes being taken for granted despite considerable potential for improvement. New requirements that arise over the years are not recognised and implemented promptly. In operations, this leads to a loss of time and, in the worst case, to delays that can jeopardise safety.

In order to continuously counteract this, existing processes must be regularly analysed and optimised in the light of operational experience. The aim is to relieve the burden on operational staff as much as possible in day-to-day operations. In conjunction with in-depth user knowledge of operational planning processes, X‑impuls offers a very wide range of services: From analysing existing processes and developing requirements from the user’s perspective to commissioning tests.

Implementation of new processes

In recent years, the number of processes and their complexity has risen sharply. It can be observed that the problem is often underestimated at the start of the project and ultimately the implementation only meets the minimum requirements, particularly due to the constant time pressure. User-friendliness and effectiveness are inevitably neglected. This problem can be counteracted by paying more attention to the experience gained during operation. Unfortunately, as is so often the case, resources are limited. As a unique service in Germany, X‑impuls can provide support at this point. Katalin Di Martino began her professional career in nuclear technology, focussing on evaluating the operating experience of nuclear facilities on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment. She then worked for the transmission system operators Amprion and TenneT DE for almost 10 years, where she was involved in numerous projects. She also has many years of experience as an operational planning engineer and can therefore also optimally assess the challenges of the energy transition from an operational perspective.

In addition to her in-depth expert knowledge, she has excellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills and supports our customers with her technical and professional understanding. At X‑impuls, in addition to her consulting activities, she is also responsible for the continuous development of the business area and the training and further education of colleagues in order to be able to guarantee the highest level of consulting quality for our customers.
