Secure and reliable electricity supply is one of the key challenges of modern energy systems. Transmission system operators (TSOs) bear the main responsibility for system operation, ensuring the stable operation of the transmission grid. This training provides the essential basic knowledge of system operation and offers a comprehensive overview of core tasks such as congestion management, voltage control, frequency stabilization, and outage planning. In addition, a brief excursion into operational planning is included to illustrate the interfaces and coöperation between grid operations and planning.
This training is aimed at professionals and career starters who wish to develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals of system operation in order to better understand and master the complex requirements at transmission grid level.
Through practical content and well-founded theory, a solid understanding of the key aspects of grid operations is established.
Target groups:
Energy suppliers and grid operators: people who work with transmission system operators or need to understand their planning processes.
Career starters: new employees, trainees, or career changers in the energy industry.
