With the ent­ry into force of various EU regu­la­ti­ons, new metho­do­lo­gies have been deve­lo­ped that requi­re the intro­duc­tion of har­mo­ni­zed pro­ces­ses in con­ges­ti­on manage­ment. The­se new pro­ces­ses replace exis­ting natio­nal and regio­nal­ly limi­t­ed approa­ches and must be appli­ed in the future on a man­da­to­ry basis in every coör­di­na­ted capa­ci­ty cal­cu­la­ti­on regi­on (CCR).

The CE Capa­ci­ty Cal­cu­la­ti­on Regi­on (CE CCR) plays a cen­tral role in Euro­pe and intro­du­ces signi­fi­cant inno­va­tions, inclu­ding Capa­ci­ty Cal­cu­la­ti­on (CC), Regio­nal Ope­ra­tio­nal Secu­ri­ty Coör­di­na­ti­on (ROSC) and Cost Sha­ring. In this trai­ning cour­se, par­ti­ci­pan­ts will gain a com­pre­hen­si­ve under­stan­ding of the new pro­ces­ses and their impact on con­ges­ti­on manage­ment. It is aimed at pro­fes­sio­nals and decis­i­on-makers who wish to under­stand, sup­port and suc­cessful­ly imple­ment the­se new processes.

Employees of trans­mis­si­on sys­tem ope­ra­tors: Pro­fes­sio­nals from the are­as of grid ope­ra­ti­ons, ope­ra­tio­nal plan­ning, IT, and management.

  • Cost Sha­ring: Prin­ci­ples and mecha­nisms of cost sha­ring in the CE CCR.

  • Com­pa­ri­son of the new CE pro­ces­ses with pre­vious approa­ches such as DACF coördination.
  • Chal­lenges and oppor­tu­ni­ties in the tran­si­ti­on to the new processes.

Intro­duc­tion and imple­men­ta­ti­on of the new processes:

  • Prac­ti­cal steps for imple­men­ting the CE pro­ces­ses in ope­ra­tio­nal practice.
  • Coöpe­ra­ti­on bet­ween TSOs and other stake­hol­ders during the implementation.

This trai­ning pro­vi­des par­ti­ci­pan­ts with a sound under­stan­ding of the new pro­ces­ses in the CE Capa­ci­ty Cal­cu­la­ti­on Regi­on (CE CCR), which play a cen­tral role in the future of con­ges­ti­on manage­ment in the Euro­pean elec­tri­ci­ty mar­ket. Par­ti­ci­pan­ts will beco­me fami­li­ar with the legal basis as well as the key pro­ces­ses, such as Capa­ci­ty Cal­cu­la­ti­on (CC), Regio­nal Ope­ra­tio­nal Secu­ri­ty Coör­di­na­ti­on (ROSC) and Cost Sha­ring. The aim is to prepa­re par­ti­ci­pan­ts not only to under­stand the new pro­ces­ses, but also to actively sup­port their intro­duc­tion and suc­cessful­ly inte­gra­te them into ope­ra­tio­nal practice.

With more than seven years of expe­ri­ence in ope­ra­tio­nal plan­ning at Ampri­on, Kata­lin Di Mar­ti­no is a reco­gni­zed expert in the fields of capa­ci­ty cal­cu­la­ti­on, con­ges­ti­on manage­ment, and redis­patch. Through her clo­se col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with grid ope­ra­ti­ons, she has gai­ned exten­si­ve know­ledge of the con­trol and sta­bi­liza­ti­on of power grids, as well as the coör­di­na­ti­on of mea­su­res to ensu­re grid sta­bi­li­ty. In addi­ti­on, she was invol­ved for more than two years at Ten­neT in the deve­lo­p­ment of the cost sha­ring pro­cess in the CORE capa­ci­ty cal­cu­la­ti­on regi­on and has acqui­red in-depth know­ledge of the deve­lo­p­ment and imple­men­ta­ti­on of Euro­pean pro­ces­ses. She is curr­ent­ly working as a con­sul­tant at X‑impuls AG and, thanks to her exper­ti­se, plays a key role in the imple­men­ta­ti­on of the Cor­Net plat­form as part of the Cor­Net pro­gram. With her expe­ri­ence in pro­ject manage­ment, as a pro­duct owner, and her exten­si­ve know­ledge of the rele­vant data struc­tures, she com­bi­nes tech­ni­cal exper­ti­se with stra­te­gic imple­men­ta­ti­on skills.
